Jacob Jones:: Newborn

It's always fun to see the baby's nursery, it shows the parents personalities and it's always fun to see the differnet ideast that parents come up with.

The image below is one of the favorite images of new parents! I started doing it a few months ago and now I guess it's a signature image of mine as I seem to do it with every newborn session!

I love taking photos of the feet and hands, because in just a few months they change so much it's always fun to be able to reflect on their little hands and feet!

The funny thing is Jacob was starting to get a little fuzzy so I had Sabrina hold him and I was focusing on his hands and this was the last picture and I think Jacob is saying "peace"

Sabrina and Josh you both have a beautiful little boy and i'm sure in just a few more weeks I will be doing more pictures of Jacob! Enjoy the time you have with him!

Jacob Jones: Newborn:: Teaser!

Meet Mr. Jacob Jones.. Jacob is my twin sister's son! He is such a cute little bundle of joy! I fall in love everytime I do a newborn session ( it's one of my favorite photo sessions to do...) here is just the teaser the rest to shortly follow!

I always do my newborn sessions in front of big windows or sliding glass doors. My sister had been telling me that Jacob doesn't open his eyes much... I was able to capture Jacob just looking outside. I always try to have the newborn session take place inside the child's home. That is the place where the newborn feels safe and is comfortable with the surroundings.

There is nothing more satisifying (especially as a mother) then watching a newborn sleep... you can't help but to feel peaceful inside.

As a Photographer it's my job is to observe and to document through photos the events currently unfolding. I LOVE doing photos of the newborns feet. They will change so quickly and having a picture of their tiny feet is always fun to go back and look to see how much they have changed.

Alright there will be LOTS more images of Jacob to follow!

Jessica & Jon Freeman: Newborn

As you have all seen Jessica in the past she has been a long time client! I did her senior portaits many years ago and then I was given the opportunity to do her Engagement portaits and now I was very excited to be able to do her newborn portraits of her and Jon's daughter!

Look at those beautiful eyes! She just melts your heart.

Who has ever said it's hard to understand a baby since they can't speak!

She gets an instant smile as soon as she hears mom's voice! The hat that she is wearing was Jessica's hat when she was a baby! Jessica's mom was able to attend the photo session and to see grandma's proud smile was awesome!

We had her wrapped up in a blanket and she was trying so hard to get her hands free and the picture below was as soon as was able to wiggle both hands free!

The picture below is for her daddy Jon who is currently deployed with the army and Jessica was able to find this shirt online! Jon hurry home safely your baby girl is such a cutie!

Brandy & Kevin: Family Portraits

Meet Brandy and Kevin I have known Kevin for many years as we went through our Firefighter academy together over 5 years ago now.. I have recently been able to get to know Brandy more as we all work together in Tacoma as Paramedics! For those of you who are decicated blog followers you will recognize Brandy's two boys as they have made their appearance on this blog for their football and soccer pictures!

We headed out to a local park to let the boys play on the toys as this brings out the real smiles in a kid! It just shows more of who they are and not so posed!

I just love these next couple images of Brandy as it brings out her true beauty and you just have to love those big eyes! Brandy defiently has a full schedule as she is working as a Paramedic and also attending school not to mention a wonderful mother to two boys who have a full schedule of their own! Brandy is truly a hard worker and dedicated to her family!

Trying to get the gentlemen to smile in pictures can sometimes be a task, but not when your too busy throwing the kiddos around! As I have said in the past your images should represent who you are and this picture above represents the relationship that Kevin and Myles share!

We sent the boys off to play on the toys and we were able to get a few images of just Kevin and Brandy!

I love it when couples are so comfortable with eachother and ofcourse the camera! It helps when they are constantly joking and making the other laugh!

Myles found a leaf started waving the leaf around when I was able to capture this closeup portrait of him!

Brandy and I agreed it was time for her and Kevin to show their inner child side by going down the slide together! As they were making their way down the slide I captured this image of their shoes. You can tell alot about a person by the shoes they wear!

Daniel Family portraits

Meet the Daniel family we traveled down to Olympia to the State Capitol Building to do their famiy session. It was such a wonderful day for photography as all the trees were bright with fall colors! We were able to walk around and find many great locations! Jennifer wanted to do some family portraits as you have seen her and the girls on the blog in the past Chris was overseas working. It was great to be able to spend an afternoon with the entire family!

Karl Family: Family Fun!

Meet the Karl Family! We headed out to the Olympia State Capitol building. It was a beautiful day outside a little bit cold, but not too bad. I have known the Karl family for many years now and it's so much to watch as their daughter grows up. It is always a blast with tons of laughs when we all get together... When Diana booked the family session she stated one reason she came to me was because she felt comfortable and I truly feel that is very important to feel comfortable during your session because then you allow yourself to open up and let the true person inside shine through.

There is nothing better than to see the natural reaction on a kids face! What's better than to tickle your child and hear their wonderful laugh!

If you want to see a child having fun during a photo session why not be a kid!

The smile on Hannah's face is what every Photographer wants to capture a kid having fun! You can truly see that Hannah is enjoying life at the moment..... mission accomplished!

What's even better is the smile on Chris and Diana's face as they watch the little girl have fun!

Sam & Monique: Wedding: Getting Ready!

As I promised here are some images of the girls getting ready! It was crazy to see so many girls get ready in one bathroom, but they made it work and they all looked beautiful! There was many laughs especially when everyone got creative and helped one another with hair and makeup. As the photographer of weddings you are often asked to help with getting the girls ready and help with everything from makeup to change outfit ideas. For the first time I was handed a pair of scissors and asked to help with the ribbon on each girls dress! I had to tie all the dresses the same and then cut the left over fabric off! Talk about making sure not to cut too much off! It went great and everyone was ready to head out and get started with the wedding party photo session! This is when the real fun started!

Sabrina: Maternity

I'm sure many you of you blog followers recognize Sabrina as she has made many appearance's on this blog in the past, but this time she is pregnant with her second child who is a baby boy! I love doing maternity sessions as it is always a blessing to share the personal thoughts and feelings of being pregnant. It amazed me while I was pregnant that you are growing a child inside of you and in only nine months I would be holding and sharing the responsibility's of raising a child. It was always a worry to me being pregnant of how I would protect and nurture my child's upbringing and I could only hope I could do a great job like my parents did for all 5 of us!

Here is Sabrina and Josh's daughter Sarahann who is two years old and is going to be a big sister! Like I told sabrina atleast this time around you have another helper! Sarahann is great with babies and is always willing to help out! It will be interesting to watch as how Sarahann will react since this baby isn't her cousin, but instead your little brother!

During the photo session Sarahann did not want ANYTHING to do with mommy's belly! So we instead did some single shots of just her since she can't be left out! After she had her turn we were able to talk her into touching mommy's belly...

This image below I feel shows the emotion of Sarahann as she knows soon everything will change. You can see in her eyes she is saying " This is my mommy!"

In a few days we will continue with the maternity session of Sabrina, Sarahann and Josh!

Alisha Lenz: Senior Portraits

Meet Alisha who is a Senior from Yelm High School and is a Senior Rep for Harmon Photography! I love doing sessions at locations that mean something to the person being photographed. It just connects the person the their photos even more and it shows a part of the person. Alisha has grown up on her grandparents property and it was an amazing location with some many different opportunities that it's any photographer's dream!

Heather & Brian: Wedding Reception

Heather and Brian Reception took place in Eatonville, Wa. at a friend of the families house. It was a beautiful August day with the sun shinning and the flowers in blossom it was a great day to celebrate the new marriage of Heather and Brian.

The kids were having a blast around the gardens and the waterfalls!

The father daughter dance was very emotional there were a few tears and a ton of laughs to go around.

This image above is one of my favorites. In the background in red is Heather's mom. It's always interesting to watch the mother of the bride reaction as her daughter and husband share a very special moment together.

Myles: Soccer: Sports

Watching Kids play sports is always a joy and they are so cute and funny the things they say and the things they do! Myles plays on a soccer team and I had the opportunity to come and snap a few shots of him playing! Myles is a huge help on his team and he scored a few goals that game too!

I love this image above as it shows Myles serious side as he is sitting on a ball listening to his coach!

Always nice to get a couple high fives from your teammates after scoring a goal!

Heather & Brian: Getting Ready: Wedding

After months of planning it was time for the reception. If you ask most brides the time when you get your hair and makeup done is a great time for reflection and going over the last minute details. Every girl dreams of what their wedding day will be like someday. It was fun listening to what Heather remembered most about her wedding day the day before in the Portland, Oregon LDS temple. Heather had the company of her two best friends as they did her hair and makeup and talked about her husband! While Heather was inside getting ready for the reception Heather's family and friends were setting up the reception right outside.

I love this image as you can see Heather getting her hair and makeup done at the sametime you can just tell how calm Heather is as she knows in a few hours will be her reception and a chance to catch up with close family and friends.

Brian stopped by to make a few phone calls as Heather laughs at his conversation you can just see the love these two share.

Moments like these bring tears to my eyes just wondering what Brian's mom is thinking at this moment. You have raised them since they were babies and now comes the time when they are starting their own family.

Tomorrow we will look at the wonderful details of the wedding!

Megan & Josh: Wedding

So today we continue with Megan and Josh ring ceremony. It was held at Megan's parents house at it was absolutely amazing. To get to the ceremony location you had to take a little trip through some woods and then it opened up into a huge field.

Everytime I ask for the rings you should see the different reactions I get... I then have to explain as to why I want the rings and soon as I say I'm going to go put them in your soon to be wife's flowers for a picture he quickly handed them over but not without going over the return policy first!

As soon as we started making out way through the trees you can see the relief on megan's face as she can start to see all of the guests....

There was a tent that was set up for the wedding party to hide in before the ceremony started... you can start to see everyone getting excited!

The wedding party went down the aisle in style... nothing like a little country music to start of this party!

Josh's ring just got a little stuck... So when Josh decided to just give it a good lick and hand it back to megan it was hilarious to hear everyone's reaction.. Megan's reaction says it all..

After the first kiss Josh acted like he forgot something and he took his bride into his arms and gave her one more big kiss!

Megan & Josh: Wedding: Portland, Oregon

Now that Josh & Megan are married it's always fun to try and sneak the couple away from the big group of family & friends and let them have a few minutes by themselves... Well I guess me and my assistant as well!!! hahaha so much for being completely alone.. this is my favorite part of the day to see the couple interact with one another. Now that all the stress of the planning, decorations, picking out that perfect dress and not to mention all the last minute details no one can really plan for have been taken care of. It's easier to focus on the real reason why these two have come together today. Being able to capture the couple when they are completely relaxed and excited to be starting their life's together is truly priceless... here are just a few more images of the couple and then it's time for Josh to have his personal session!... Keep reading you don't want to miss this!

Now it's time for just Josh to have his personal session! Josh is a fun guy just to be around this was the first time I was able to meet Josh since he was unable to make

our meeting to book the wedding and I knew from the time I met

him it was going to be a fun day!

So when you are photography guys you have to help give some pointers since they don't want to feel dorky well when I told Josh to give me his "manly" pose this is what I got! hahaha

He was excited and ready for anything...

Alright time for the mom pose!

I told him to give me his best modeling pose!

So Josh had some creative ideas all it took for me was to give him one word and see what he would come up with! This is Josh's "Sexy" pose!! It was a blast to watch Josh having so much fun, that's what's very rewarding with my job to be able to capture the indiviual personality through images... I am very pleased with Josh's session I truly feel we captured Josh's true personality...

Since Megan & Josh were married in Portland, Oregon they had their reception on Saturday out at Megan's paren'ts house in Eatonville.... The couple celebrated their new marriage with a ring ceremony for all there close family and friends to witness. If you can tell from Josh's session you can only imagine the entire wedding party... Nothing says celebration like having the wedding party dance down the aisle... Stay tune... You don't want to miss this!

Megan & Josh: Wedding: Portland, Oregon

Welcome to the wedding of Josh Frink & Megan Law their wedding took place inside the LDS Temple in Portland, Oregon on Friday August, 14, 2009. On one side of the temple grounds there is a reflection pool sitting at the base of the main spire which reaches the height of 170 feet into the air. Throughout the temple grounds we found many walkways, fountains and sitting areas which were surrounded by the amazing gardens that decorate the temple grounds. The breath taking views of the Portland, Oregon Temple sits on 7.3 acres.

This is by far my favorite image of these two. You can just see how comfortable they both are in each others arms.

Bonnie & Chris: Wedding

So now for the moment we have all been waiting for...The wedding Vows. There are some many different versions of wedding vows and it's always interesting to see which vows the couple have choosen to exchange to one another. Bonnie & Chris decided to write their own vows and there is nothing better than to see the raw emotion that always comes to the surface as soon as the Bride and Groom speak the words that will tie them together forever..

Now the ceremony was over and it's time to Party! It's a huge relief for everyone involved in the wedding as soon as the ceremony has concluded you just see this different side that comes out of everyone and they are always ready to have a good time!

Sunday, August 16, 2009: Sam & Monique: Wedding Teaser : Fremont, WA.

So after I photograph a wedding the Brides and Groom are always excited to see some of the images! I have decided to start doing a little teasers to try and hold over the Bride & Groom not to mention the wedding party until I get all the images edited! So on Sunday, August 16 I captured the amazing wedding of Sam & Monique in Fremont, WA. The couple was a blast and knew how to have fun! August 14, 2009: Wedding Teaser: Portland, Oregon Temple

Today was the first time I had ever photographed 2 weddings in the same day not to mention my first time traveling out of state for a wedding!!! hahah it's only to Oregon but still it's out of state!! After I drove over 3 hours to get to The Portland Temple to do a DOUBLE wedding it was so much fun and crazy all at the same time! haha Here are just a few images to tease the couples a little bit! Bonnie & Chris: Wedding: Details

It is always fun to see the different ideas that bride and grooms come up with for their wedding... I feel it is important as one of my jobs to capture all the little details that I know took some time planning.

Alright so this one was just too darn cute I had to sneak it in! Look at those little shoes....

I thought it was really neat how the center pieces were individual cakes! When I told Bonnie that I really liked the idea she completely gave credit to Chris for coming up with the idea! Way to go Chris!

You can just see how much detail and time there was on each cake. I have always been impressed with the individuals who are artistic enough to come up with so many different cake designs! That's true art at it's finest!

Now that everyone had their hair and makeup done it was time for Bonnie to finally slip into her dress. This is always fun to watch the reaction of the bride and all the girls to finally be able to see what dress she choose for her special day. I feel that picking out the wedding dress is one of the most stressful but also the most exciting part of the wedding planning.

Now that Bonnie was ready to head out the door you can see the anticipation in her face as she realizes today is finally the big day. For many brides with all the stress of planning it sometimes doesn't seem like the wedding day, as they are so busy with many details, but as soon as you slip into that amazing dress it seems to all come together! Bonnie & Chris: Wedding: Getting Ready!

Today we continue on with more images of Bonnie getting ready for her wedding. I try to always tell a story with the images I take and I feel these next ones really go into detail of all the small things that everyone does the day of a wedding to make it all come together... Thank goodness for family! Where would any of us be without them!!

It was time for Anthony to get some rest before the big day! Hope who is Bonnie's sister was the Creator of this masterpiece! hey it worked like a charm! Oh the power of signs! hahaha

It's always stressful the morning of the wedding but it was a different story being around Bonnie, her family and close friends. It was relaxed and a funny moment that I remember is I was asking what time it was since we had about 45 min. to get to the wedding location to start the couples session... more of those to come later!... and Bonnie was walking around like Oh yeah I better start getting dressed now uh! It totally made me laugh and it truly shows the type of personality Bonnie has! She had a smile on her face from the time I showed up at 9am until the very end of the day!

After I posted the first few images of the Bonnie & Chris wedding I received an email from Bonnie and it brought a smile to my face and so I replied asking Bonnie if I could share it on the blog and she was more that willing to let me post it so here it goes........

Bonnie & Chris: Wedding: Getting Ready

On Friday July 24, 2009 Bonnie and Chris were married at the Steilacoom Bandstand and their reception was held at the Steilacoom Town Hall. With all their family and close friends they vowed to one another to be together forever. It was such a beautiful day outside and first we start off with Bonnie getting ready at her sister's house in Lakewood.....

I love to capture the small details of the wedding including getting ready. My goal is to be able to surprise the Brides with some images that they weren't aware of or maybe didn't notice. Since Bonnie was already in the chair before the lip stick came out it was neat to watch as the make-up artist took the time to set up all of her equipment in such a unique order. It's funny how every artist has their own way of doing things...

Anthony who is Bonnie & Chris's son decided he wanted to spend time with mommy so with a quick break I was able to capture this special moment. This picture just portrays the close bond that a mother and child share.

We will continue with more pictures of Bonnie getting ready for the wedding in the next few days... It was a blast to be able to capture the special moments of Bonnie and Chris's wedding. Tyler Akin: Cheerios!

Now that Tyler is 10 months old he LOVES eating cheerios every morning! While watching him carefully choose his cheerios that he wants it was just too funny and then I thought.... I don't have any pictures of him eating his cheerios.. Everyone thinks being a photographer that you have endless photos of your children but the fact of the matter is that's not completely true... the other day I had a voice mail from my mom and she was requesting a photo session of her grandson! This past weekend my husband, I and our son Tyler headed out to my brother-in-laws house to celebrate his 40th Birthday party! I was so busy most of the day and evening chasing Tyler around I wasn't able to pull out my camera until the last few hours. But I was able to catch a few images to share.....

SarahAnn Jones: Playing at the park!

Today I called up my twin sister to get a break out of the house since its such a beautiful day outside! We decided to go to the park and let my niece SarahAnn play on the toys and let Tyler my son play outside! Well it turned into a mini session! I thought I would bring my camera and get some updated photos for our parents since they are in Idaho!

This bucket my mother-in-law bought for Tyler at the craft store for a dollar! It's funny how kids get attached to something and will carry it around with them for rest of the day.
SarahAnn thought the water was just a little bit chilly and at first was a little unsure.

My twin sister Sabrina is now pregnant with there second child and SarahAnn is very excited about having a little brother or sister! She will walk around saying she has a baby in her tummy too!

Hank: Dog Session!

For my brother-in-law Steven's birthday my mother-in-law asked if I would be willing to do a Dog portrait session and of course I jumped at the opportunity! So meet Mr. Hank Akin....Hank is a Lab/mastiff Mix..oh yes that's right just like our Dog Molly! We loved Hank so much when I found Molly I couldn't resist! Hank is so sweet and gentle, but also is a great playmate for Molly. Not to mention he puts up a mean fight for catch with the tennis ball actually a few weeks ago he beat molly to the ball every time and Hank is twice the age of Molly! He loves to go in the back of Steven's truck and go anywhere with his Dad! so my Mother-in-law, Jackie and myself headed out to Wildwood park in Puyallup.....

This session was special since I was able to witness the wonderful bond that Anthony & Evan share. Anthony didn't want to let Evan going during the session it was too cute.

Anthony decided he didn't want to sit anymore so he crawled over to the edge of the big toy and thought he would stand up on his own and be a big boy!! which as every mom knows can sometimes be nerve racking especially when the ground seems such a long way down! Anthony was so proud of himself and I think the image portrays that clearly!

meet Anthony and Evan these two boys are cousins and they were so much fun to work with and have fun at the park! Bonnie who is Anthony's mom who you will be seeing more in the near future since she is getting married this summer and we will be there capturing every moment for her.. asked me to do a session of her son and her nephew she was wanting portraits outside. Well the night before the session it was raining and just nasty weather, well the next morning when I woke up to sunshine it was great surprise! I was excited since that meant we were able to go outside! I prefer outside portraits because of the natural light! Here are some of the days portraits with more to come.... ENJOY!!

If you have followed my blog in the past then you know I always like to spice up the photo session and what better then climbing a tree and it always brings back memories for everyone when they used to climb trees as children you are never to old to have a little fun!

When you are around these two you can feel the love they share for each other. Jeremy and carrie met while carrie was in high school over eight years ago....

Jeremy has such an outgoing personality and is always making everyone around him laugh... he wasn't having the simple portraits..... so he decided to spice things up a bit!.....

oh I can't wait to see the fun times that we will share on their wedding day...... so after we were done with the session we seem to have one little problem... Jeremy gave his keys to Alyssa to hold onto while we were doing the shoot and when it was time to give daddy the keys...... well they seem to have been missing.... since we all took one car we were stuck until we could locate the keys... so the search began! well after a good 20 minutes and the tide was coming in and we were loosing daylight.... Jeremy saw something washing out to sea..... it was his keys! thankful everything worked out and well it was a lesson learned.

Thank you carrie, jeremy and alyssa for a fun day together. the love you two share is real and i can't wait to see everyone on the wedding day!

Quincy: Dog Session!

Quincy is such a loveable dog and is always happy to see everyone! She lives in Tacoma with her buddy Jackson. While Michelle ( Quincy's owner) and I were in Salem, Oregon we found a park and took some portraits of Quincy. The last dog session I did was with Piper and Mable who are neighbors to Quincy. Michelle feels that if people can take their kids places why not be allowed to take Quincy! Truly Quincy is Michelle's baby and enjoys spending time at the park everyday with Jackson and Michelle! I was explaining to Michelle coffee table books that I'm working on and yes Michelle is ordering a coffee table book of Quincy that should explain the love Michelle has for her baby Quincy!

Alyssa & Dylan: Children Portraits

Today I had the opportunity to meet Alyssa & Dylan we went to a local school and we were able to get some great images of Alyssa & Dylan playing hard on the playground. After a bit of play we headed back to my house to capture some great buddy photos outside! It was a beautiful sunny day outside! As you may know those days are sometimes far and few in Washington! It's crazy to think just a few days ago we had snow in our area.....

Today was the first day that I had the privileged to meet Alyssa and you can just feel how close Alyssa & her step Mom Carrie are. I know that Alyssa will remember all the special memories that she has had and will continue to make with Carrie. I'm honored to of been asked to be able to capture Carrie & her fiance' Jeremy's wedding! For me to be able to stand back and watch the emotions throughout the day will truly be a blessing.

Tyler Gene Akin: 6 Month Session

I have extremely enjoyed motherhood. Tyler is already 6.5 months old. When I was pregnant with Tyler everyone told me it goes so fast they aren't little for long! They weren't kidding. I look back of portraits I took of Tyler and it's amazing how you can see their personality develop even through images. while I was doing Benjamin Byrd 3 month portrait session Katy and I thought it would make sense to do some of Tyler at the same time...

I love his big blue eyes! I think that's the only thing Tyler inherited from me!

Tyler has always been a VERY happy baby we were extremely lucky!

My husband and I actually met while I was a resident Firefighter and my husband was in the fire academy. Tyler's uncle Steven is a firefighter for Roy! It will be interesting to see what Tyler wants to do when he grows up! While I was pregnant and still working as an EMT Tyler loved the sirens well at least he did a lot of kicking and to this day he will sleep right through sirens no matter how close they are to us everyone is always surprised to see.. personally I think he just became used to hearing them... it's so funny how every kid is so different.....

I never knew how much having a child would be such a wonderful blessing in my life. Everyday I get up and I'm excited to see what Tyler will discover that day! He loves to go for walks, meet new people! He's already such a flirt with all the ladies! I think were going to have our hands full in a few years!

Piper & Mable: Dog Session

It is so funny how these dogs let their personalities shine through these images. Piper you might remember is younger and has more energy than Mable. Mable is willing to sit and wait for piper to stop running circles around her! When we were letting the dogs play and just get some of their energy out Piper believed that it was her duty to stop every person who walked by us and smell them! This session started showing me that even dogs can express their feelings through photography.

To many people their dogs are like their children Piper & Mable are no exception to this saying! Yesterday I met up with a good friend Carrie Brown who wanted pictures of her two basset hounds together. Carrie and Jeremy added Pipper to the family when she was a pup and they recently added Mable to the mix. Mable was rescued and is now 4 years old while Pipper is still a puppy at just over a year old! So we loaded up the dogs and headed out....

Benjamin Byrd: 3 month session

Benjamin Byrd is the happiest baby and was a blast to photograph. I can't believe how fast they grow and it is funny to see some of the faces the little babies make while you stand in front of them with a huge camera! Benjamin doesn't seem to mind while he thinks it's funny to make sure he laughs at you while you are changing the angle your shooting from. This session was a ton of fun while a little sad. The Byrd family will be moving in the next few months to Kentucky since this is where Benjamin's father Chris is from. Explains the University of Kentucky gear!. The Byrd family has been living in Puyallup since Chris has been serving in the Army while being stationed at Fort Lewis. We want to wish the Byrd family good luck on your new adventures in life and we will be sad to see you go, but we know we will be visiting the Byrd family at least every 3 months! Benjamin needs to have his photos taken! Not only will we be missing our great friends and Tyler's play date buddy,but I failed to mention that Katy does a wonderful job as a hair stylist! I had the wonderful pleasure of spending the evening with Katy, Chris and Benjamin Byrd! It has been a blast to be able to watch Benjamin grow and develop his own personality. Benjamin Byrd: Newborn Portraits::Part 2

You may remember Benjamin from a previous post of his newborn session. Benjamin became very sick during the session so we weren't able to finish all the pictures considering he didn't get any of him in clothes!! It always suprises me how much they change in only a few weeks. I have been able to watch Benjamin grow since he was 5 weeks old and the expressions that Benjamin now makes always brings a smile to your face! Benjamin was welcomed by his loving parents Katy and Chris!

I always try to capture the natural interaction that happens with the children and their parents regardless if there is a camera there or not. This picture below shows the love that Benjamin shares with his mom Katy!

This past weekend I shot Jessica's and Jons Engagement portraits at the beautiful Lakewold Gardens in Lakewood. Even though we all went for more of a hike than anything! As Jessica remembers from when I shot her Senior session a few years ago she just loves climbing trees so since it was kind of a tradition that Jessica started with me we had to keep the tradition alive! Jon was a great sport throughout the entire session and was more than willing to help his wonderful bride through the rocky shore at the waterfront and making sure she didn't fall out of the tree since she was wearing heels, Thanks for the interesting afternoon guys!
